My home feels empty.
because it is
because my dog growing up is gone
because he still feels like a part of these walls
because I still see him out of the corner of my eye
because my own dog doesn’t make me feel at home here
because I miss my friends
because everyone leaves at some point
but some sooner than others.

I was feeling down about today.
I was feeling useless, lethargic, and just plain sorry for myself… and then, I went to the grocery store.
WHAT A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES!
I got nail polish.

- orange
I got eggs.
I got butter.
I got some betty crocker cookie mix (I don’t care, I bake what I want)
I MADE SOME DINOSAUR COOKIES AND I PAINTED SOME DINOSAUR NAILS because:
